When (In Purple) By MARLO
Here MARLO shows the process he used in making his watercolor painting of "When (In Purple)". He used one of Cathleen Tarawhiti's photographs for reference [link]. MARLO started with a pencil drawing. He then worked with different gray tones (starting from light to dark) using watercolor paints. He then added colors, building light washes on top of another and another. MARLO finished this painting with some watercolor pencils for hair strands. Click here to view the final painting.
